Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE Responsible for producing high quality X-ray images in an inpatient setting by conducting exams in a safe and efficient manner.
Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while remaining in compliance with the Imaging Sciences departmental policies.
Possesses a sound understanding of human anatomy as well as x-ray positioning and the use if immobilization devices when warranted.
Receives training as well as regular direct supervision or guidance from a more senior technologist to perform proficiency of the required tasks.
Takes independent responsibility for performing general section studies in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work while providing high quality images for radiologist interpretation.

Requires completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Must hold current NYS licensure (CRT) and ARRT certification with CE credits upon hire.
