Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE Responsible for setting up interventional radiology (IR) rooms specific to the study being conducted. Utilizes customer service skills while interacting with patients as well as family members to create a caring atmosphere during their visit. Progresses towards proficient and competent performance with regards to interventional procedures, fluoroscopy room equipment, digital subtraction, inventory, power injections and post processing tools.

SCHEDULE FT, 40 hours (days)

Essential functions
Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed.
Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors to produce a high-quality image.
Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider.

Requirements

Requires completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology and current NYS licensure. ARRT Radiography Certification is required, with one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
