Compensation Range

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE Responsible for setting up interventional radiology (IR) rooms specific to the study being conducted. Utilizes customer service skills while interacting with patients as well as family members to create a caring atmosphere during their visit. Progresses towards proficient and competent performance with regards to interventional procedures, fluoroscopy room equipment, digital subtraction, inventory, power injections and post processing tools.

  • Essential functions
  • Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed.
  • Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors to produce a high-quality image.
  • Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider.
  • Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure.
  • Observes each patient’s status and interprets appropriate information needed to meet age-specific needs.
  • Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transfer boards, hover mats.
  • Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
  • Completes and bills for studies accurately.

  • Minimum education & experience
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
  • Licenses and certifications
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist upon hire required and
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification with CE credits upon hire required

Requires completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology and a valid Radiologic Technologist license. ARRT certification with CE credits is required upon hire, with one year of experience preferred.
