About the role

The Level II Registered Nurse is accountable for providing competent direct patient care based on established standards, contributing to unit activities, and supporting the enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. This role also involves supporting peers and potentially assuming expanded responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member.

Responsibilities

The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT (40) positions available. Straight Nights Mon-Thurs 9p-7a, Holidays per unit guidelines, no weekends, and no call responsibilities.

Seeking enthusiastic individuals, excited to be a part of a multidisciplinary team that cares for pediatric patients across the age continuum. Specialties include general surgery, urology, dental, OMFS, neurosurgery, plastics, burns, ENT, and orthopaedics. Good organizational and communication skills are required. Requires 2 years of OR experience, requires a nursing degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a nursing degree from an accredited Nursing Program and hold an active New York State RN license in good standing; new graduates are welcomed. The role requires working straight nights, 8/10/12 hour shifts, including holidays, weekends, and mandatory on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time.
