Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. You'll be scheduled to work an average of 3 shifts per week on the days of highest need. Can discuss schedule at interview.
Orthopedics is a very busy clinic and in this role, you provide X-ray support for patients throughout their orthopedic visit. You will perform diagnostic X-rays, assist with efficient patient flow, and work closely with the clinical team to ensure physicians have the images they need to diagnose and treat patients. You’ll collaborate with a large team of physicians, APPs, nursing staff, athletic trainers, patient care technicians, and other team members to keep clinics running smoothly.
Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes.
Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors.
Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process.
Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures.
Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
Sanford Rural Health Network Facility sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays.
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures.
Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of general radiology protocols.
May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.
Occupational Medicine clinics may have expanded job duties based on facility needs including preforming routing testing, and sampling and other technical services to support Occupational Medicine and Employee Health Services, including but not limited to, drug screens, breath alcohol testing and audiograms as well as administrative and/or clinical support.
Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required.

Requires completion of an ARRT-accepted educational program and active ARRT registration. Must hold or obtain state-specific licensure (NDMIRT, Iowa permit, or SD certification) and BLS certification.
