Join our team as a Community-Based Behavioral Health Specialist and provide meaningful, in-home support to youth and families in their communities.
This role provides intensive, community-based behavioral health services focused on stabilization, skill development, crisis prevention, and strengthening family functioning. You will work directly with children and caregivers to build skills, support treatment goals, and help families navigate challenging situations.
Annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Eligible for additional incentive compensation based on performance, productivity, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-home behavioral and emotional support services to children and families.
Help families implement individualized treatment plans and develop strategies to support positive outcomes.
Provide crisis prevention, intervention, and stabilization support when needed.
Teach and reinforce coping skills, communication techniques, and behavioral management strategies.
Collaborate with clinical teams, schools, and community providers to coordinate care and support client needs.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
Make a direct impact on the lives of children and families.
Provide services in the community where families live and thrive.

A bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience working with high-risk youth and families in community-based settings and must reside in McHenry County.
