Job Summary

NeuroInterventional Pain Management (NIPM) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week). This position will provide care at both our Monroe and Allen Park, Michigan office locations.

As a Physician Assistant, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care within our interventional pain management practice. You will evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, review diagnostic studies, develop treatment recommendations, educate patients about their conditions, and collaborate closely with our physicians to provide individualized care plans.

Whether you are an experienced PA or a recent graduate eager to learn, we welcome candidates who are committed to providing outstanding patient care and building meaningful relationships with patients.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations Obtain and document complete medical histories Review and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results Develop assessment and treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Michigan licensing requirements and practice protocols Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers when appropriate Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Michigan Physician Assistant license NCCPA certification Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Excellent bedside manner with a patient-centered approach Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or a related specialty is preferred, but not necessary Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred

Each member combines their vast array of specialized backgrounds to bring multiple levels of diagnoses and treatments to the patients, mixing both traditional and non-traditional styles.

In addition to medical technology, the staff at NIPM believe in taking their time to really listen to their patients. Pain sufferers are often seeking help after previous attempts to address their pain have failed. This is where the skilled members at NIPM steps in to try and shed new light on what may have been a previously unfavorable prognosis. Whether the method is tried-and-true or cutting edge, each individual receives a customized treatment plan to meet his or her needs, in an environment that is always comfortable and respectful.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current Michigan Physician Assistant license and NCCPA certification. While experience in pain management, orthopedics, or neurology is preferred, the role is open to both experienced PAs and recent graduates.
