Research Assistant

About the role

The research assistant is responsible for collecting and documenting research data while assisting professional staff with various study-related duties. They also perform clinical care and patient assessments across all age groups as required by the research team.

Job Summary

The research assistant performs duties related to research projects directed by MD's, PhD's and other professional staff members. Responsible for data collection, accurate recording, and other related duties in assisting study team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in performing clinical care and assessment of patients of all ages: check which ages apply (newborn, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics).
  • Utilizes proper techniques in daily activities at research work site(s).
  • Collects and documents research data.
  • Assists with literature searches.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or directed.

Requirements

Nursing diploma or Bachelor of Science degree required. Clinical or technical research experience, including data collection and entry into a computer system desired. Proficiency in the English language.
