Job Summary
Responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position.
- Maintains Surgical Technologist Certification Demonstrates working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment.
- Primary Preceptor for the scrub role.
- Complies with customer service requirements.
- Actively participates in QI programs.
- Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN.
- Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
- Maintains and gathers supplies to perform job Maintains BLS
Requirements
Graduation of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Surgical Technologist Certification is required. BLS Certification Required.
