The Rehab Tech provides supportive services to the Rehabilitation Department, including assisting therapists with treatments and transporting patients. They are also responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing reconciliation, and maintaining patient records.
The Rehabilitation Tech will perform supportive services to the Rehabilitation Department under the direction of the Rehab Director.
Supports efficient operation of the therapy department .
Assists therapists with treatment.
Transports patients as directed.
Coordinates scheduling with the nursing staff.
Prepares patients, treatment areas, equipment and supplies for treatment.
Maintains awareness of change in patient census and programs.
Follows established procedures pertaining to the care of equipment and supplies including completion of cleaning logs.
Ensures that adequate office supplies and supplies for treatments are maintained.
Completing forms and records, making copies, filing forms, obtaining necessary signatures and maintaining orderly and accurate patient records.
Assists Rehab Director in month end billing reconciliation procedures and completion of the monthly triple check forms.
Assists or completes patient and or staff schedules on a daily basis.
Runs and analyzes reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to assist in department operations, compliance, and patient management procedures and communicates information to appropriate individuals.
Assists in orientation procedures for new hires with direct oversight by Rehab Director.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer proficiency. Experience in healthcare, office administration, and a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification are preferred.
