Our Ultrasound department prides itself on working together in a learning environment to best serve our patients and community. Staff can rotate from the hospital to any of our other five ultrasound off-site or specialty departments, depending on their skill set and interests. As a student you will be responsible for producing high quality diagnostic images for Radiologist Interpretation. Most shifts and locations require staff to work as part of a team. Our department is always looking to grow and improve the services we provide to our community. Exams preformed include and not limited to; Invasive Procedures (Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Thyroid FNA, Renal and Liver Biopsy), OR cases, General Abdominal and Small Parts, OB/GYN, MSK, Liver Elastography, Pediatric, Neurology, Breast and Vascular exams.
Performs sonography procedures based on the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (SDMS) and Practice Standards of the SDMS Code of Ethics
Serves as the primary liaison between patients, licensed practitioners, and other members of the support team.
Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.
Enrollment in an accredited (CAAHEP) educational Sonography program recognized by the ARDMS.
Second year in an accredited (CAAHEP) educational Sonography program recognized by the ARDMS, Preferred
Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
Work Shift: Every Other Saturday and Sunday 9a-5p
