Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, obtains patient specimens, performs laboratory tests on blood, urine, body fluids, feces, and reports test results according to prescribed laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for the supervision and operation of the laboratory if so requested by the laboratory manager and performs any other task necessary to maintain the proper functioning of the department and the hospital.
