Description Medical-Surgical Monitor Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical-Surgical Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves continuously observing and interpreting patient vital signs and monitoring equipment to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms using electronic monitoring equipment
  • Observe and interpret data to identify any abnormal or critical changes in patient conditions
  • Document patient information accurately and promptly in electronic health records
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and healthcare providers regarding patient status
  • Assist in responding to emergency situations by alerting appropriate personnel
  • Maintain the functionality and cleanliness of monitoring equipment
  • Follow hospital policies and procedures related to patient safety and confidentiality

Skills and Qualifications

  • Monitor Technician Certification
  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous
  • Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and vital signs interpretation
