About the role

Provide medical assistance and patient care at the UW Health Charles St Clinic. Responsibilities include performing laboratory tasks, phlebotomy, and audiometry tests.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, Monday-Friday 8

30am -5:00pm, you will work at UW Health Charles St Clinic 2404 Charles St.

Additional components of compensation may include: Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Overtime: On-call pay

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
  • Laboratory and phlebotomy training required within 30 days of hire. Required
  • Drug and alcohol screening, and N95 training required within 30 days of hire. Required
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required
  • Work Experience
  • At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
  • Computer experience. Required
  • Licenses & Certifications
  • RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
  • Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
  • Audiometry certification through Northern Illinois University or Health Conservation, Inc. (HCI), required within 30 days of hire. Required

Requirements

Requires a Medical Assistant certification (RMA, AAMA, CCMA, or NCCT) and BLS/CPR certification. Candidates must have an associate degree or equivalent experience and obtain specific training in phlebotomy and audiometry within 30 days of hire.
