How you’ll contribute
· Be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the ED.
· Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
· Supervise, coordinate, and delegate patient care in a manner which ensures that patient needs are provided in an efficient manner, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and scope of practice by position.
· Professionalism – Applies knowledge to practice through participation in performance improvement activities and application of nursing research

Applicants must hold a current VA or compact RN license and are preferred to have one year of ED experience. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with an Advanced Stroke Course preferred.
