About the role

Perform high-quality MRI images according to physician orders while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage patient files, maintain equipment, and coordinate the cleaning and stocking of work areas.

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients.

This is a full-time role, working Monday - Friday, variable between 6

  • 30
  • AM and 8:00
  • PM, and every other weekend 8:00
  • AM - 4:30 PM out of our Brooklyn Park, Plymouth, and Blaine locations.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions

  • Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
  • Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
  • Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
  • Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
  • Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
  • May include IV contrast administration as needed
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
  • ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.

& Compensation:

Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.

A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Working Conditions

Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.

Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Frequently push/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.

Frequently stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.

Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.

Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.

Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
