About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing patient care plans, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate transfers, discharges, and provide essential patient and family education.

Essential Functions

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family.

Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs

Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care

Serve as a patient-care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • & Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • One year of RN experience (preferred, but not required)

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current North Carolina RN license (or compact license), an Associate Degree in Nursing, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. A Bachelor's degree and one year of RN experience are preferred.
