Life Medical is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding diagnostic imaging team. This position is responsible for independently performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable ultrasound equipment in a variety of healthcare settings. Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare locations to perform scheduled ultrasound examinations. Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to: Abdomen Pelvic Renal Thyroid Soft Tissue Breast (if credentialed) Obstetric/Gynecology (if credentialed) Small Parts Additional ultrasound examinations as ordered by the physician Obtain accurate diagnostic images following established scanning protocols and physician orders. Verify patient identity and explain examination procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding. Accurately document patient information, examination findings, and technical details. Upload completed studies promptly for physician interpretation. Maintain ultrasound equipment by performing routine cleaning, inspection, and reporting equipment concerns. Adhere to all infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures. Communicate professionally with physicians, nurses, caregivers, scheduling staff, and facility personnel. Complete all required documentation, reports, and billing information accurately and within required timeframes. QualificationsQualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Current ARDMS certification required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently in a mobile healthcare environment. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Preferred Experience performing mobile ultrasound examinations. Experience using portable ultrasound equipment. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Experience working in home care, assisted living, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facilities. Multiple ARDMS specialty certifications. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, transport, and set up portable ultrasound equipment. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and assist patients throughout the workday. Ability to travel between multiple patient locations during scheduled shifts. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for extended periods. Requires graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with current ARDMS and BLS certifications. Must have at least one year of independent experience and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
