The Registered Nurse provides high-standard care for cardiac medical patients based on evidence-based principles. They coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.
The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing.
The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
Candidates must have a degree from an accredited school of nursing and a valid Ohio RN license. Previous hospital-based experience and a BSN are preferred.
