The Cardiac Catheterization RN is a registered nurse with advanced training and knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular system. A Cath Lab nurse performs a variety of duties may include but not limited to; circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Graduate of accredited nursing program preferred. BSN preferred. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. A minimum of one year of Cath Lab experience is preferred. IABP, Angiojet and IVUS experience preferred. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and x-ray equipment preferred.
Current California RN license and BLS required. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change. Basic dysrhythmia within 120 days of hire or status change. RCIS preferred.
Requires a current California RN license, BLS, and ACLS/Basic dysrhythmia certifications. Preference is given to candidates with a BSN and at least two years of acute care experience, including one year in a Cath Lab.
