You’ll need

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required

Essential functions

Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.

Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.

Prepares and administers contrast media as required.

Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.

Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.

Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Skills/Qualifications

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology institution and be registry eligible within one year of hire. BLS certification is required.
