Part-Time traveling optometrist (Od) – new mexico

Location: Statewide NM (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, Gallup, Taos, Las Cruces, Roswell)

Schedule: 2–6 weekdays per month (Wed/Thu/Fri)

Compensation: $1,200 per diem

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

About the opportunity

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to deliver high-quality vision care across multiple New Mexico communities. This is a clinic-based role where you’ll function as an extension of established outpatient teams serving senior populations.

Travel expectations

  • This is a traveling optometrist role. Candidates must be comfortable driving up to 4 hours to assigned clinic locations, which may include some or all of the following regions:
  • Albuquerque
  • Santa Fe
  • Farmington
  • Gallup
  • Taos
  • Las Cruces
  • Roswell

Mileage reimbursement is provided.

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
  • Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations
  • Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
  • Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
  • Active New Mexico optometry license

  • Willingness to travel up to 4 hours to assigned clinics

SCHEDULE • 2–6 weekdays per month (Wednesday–Friday) • Typical hours

  • 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No billing or administrative responsibilities
