The registered dietitian (RD) is responsible for the nutritional assessment and intervention of acute care hospitalized patients.

The RD recommends appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient‘s diagnosis, nutrition focused physical exam and overall health status.

Identifies the proper nutrition regimen and places order in the medical record.

Communicates plan of care to all responsible parties.

Educates patients, family and significant others on nutrition plan.

Contributes to departmental achievements through process improvement.

Documents findings, orders, interventions in the electronic health record.

Estimated pay range for this position is $36.50 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
