The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multifaceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing.
The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
