Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Licensure/Certification/Registry: CPR certification within 90 days from hire date.
Receive, verify and process all necessary documentation of correct order and patient. Prepare and maintain all equipment necessary for the performance of testing. Prepare patient and perform EKG’s, Holter and Event monitor application, and plethysmography. Record procedures and patient responses on appropriate department forms. I prevent defects and delays. Must be proficient in basic CPR. Meet infection control standards as established by the Medical Center and Outpatient Cardiology Department. Perform basic maintenance on equipment and notify manager of needed repairs. Assist in evaluation of technical equipment specific to Outpatient Cardiology. Provide input to the supervisor regarding changes in policy and procedures. Knowledgeable in functions of CV Net, including assigning, troubleshooting, faxing reports, ordering and cancelling EKG’s. Monitors supply needs and provides to appropriate person for weekly supply orders. Download Holter monitors and document information. Adhere to behavioral standards. Performs other related work as required or requested. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Two years of experience in a medical field is preferred, along with the ability to interpret 12-lead EKGs within six months.
