About the Role

As an Alzheimer's & Dementia Companion with Qualicare, you'll provide specialized, patient-centered support for clients living with memory loss and cognitive decline. Working under the guidance of a Care Coordinator, you'll bring structure, comfort, and connection to each day — helping clients feel safe, valued, and understood, while giving their families real peace of mind.

What You'll Do

Provide patient, reassuring support with personal hygiene and daily routines Prepare meals suited to client needs and preferences Maintain a clean, calm, and clutter-free living space Accompany clients on outings, errands, and appointments Offer gentle reminders and assistance with medications Support safe mobility and transportation Engage clients in memory-friendly activities, conversation, and companionship Use redirection and calming techniques to help ease confusion, anxiety, or agitation Follow individualized care plans designed around each client's cognitive needs Maintain accurate documentation, including behavioral and condition changes What We're Looking For

A dementia certification or willingness to obtain Experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care is a strong plus Patience, empathy, and a calm presence in challenging moments Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to complete training A clear TB test or chest x-ray Reliable transportation to travel within your service area A working phone and internet access
