About the role

Perform diagnostic imaging, fluoroscopic, and portable x-ray procedures under the supervision of a registered radiographer. Maintain general patient care and safety while ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure.

About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957.

This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center.

The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.

Scope of Work Perform diagnostic imaging procedures.

Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures.

Assume responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.

Assures equipment/supplies are present and accounted for at beginning and end of each imaging procedure.

Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications

Required High School Diploma 1 year of relevant experience must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program Preferred CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and completion of the first year of an accredited imaging program. BLS certification from the AHA or ARC is required upon hire.
