  • Work location: 4450 Tubbs Road Rockwall, TX 75032 with travel to 874 West Hwy 243 - Suite 107 Kaufman, TX 75142 Work hours: Full-time; 40 hours weekly; Monday - Friday (8am-5pm) Family Care Clinic Highlights: No Weekends Collaborative Work Environment Cross Training for Career Development and Growth

Here’s What You Need

High School Diploma (REQUIRED One year of experience as a CMA (STRONGLY PREFERRED) Valid Certification as a Medical Assistant (REQUIRED) Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED) ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire (PREFERRED) BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly - 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED) At least 6 months of Surgical Scheduling experience, Front Office experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED) Knowledge of prior authorizations and referrals (PREFERRED) Strong knowledge of Insurance Benefits (STRONGLY PREFERRED) Bilingual - English/Spanish (STRONGLY PREFERRED) What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights May work in the front office as needed May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s) Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits. Requirements
