Market context

Texas lab tech roles stay competitive

In Texas, full-time day-shift laboratory tech roles are often competitive because hospitals look for candidates who can work independently in fast-paced acute care settings and meet licensure requirements. This role is especially attractive to applicants with an associate degree, a valid state license, MLT certification, BLS, and recent hospital experience.
