What You’ll Do

Clinical Associates at Alaska Behavioral Health (AKBH) are responsible for assisting clients in meeting overall goals as identified in their treatment plan within a multi-disciplinary team approach. Services may be conducted in office and/or in the community based off the individuals needs identified in the treatment plan, to include individual/group skill building and providing case management for coordination of care addressing areas of management of daily routine, employment, housing, transportation, resources, and medical management.

The position of Clinical Associate is divided into three (3) levels of responsibility and independence depending on education and relevant experience as well as the applicant’s ability to take on responsibilities. Positions may be in our Adult Outpatient or Child & Family Outpatient Clinic.

Alaska Behavioral Health is a National Child Traumatic Stress Network site and training hub for childhood mental health and trauma treatment. The successful applicant has an opportunity for training in evidenced-based intervention training.

  • Clinical associates participate in regular individual and group supervision and are provided with additional training opportunities as part of our professional development plan.
  • AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, 4% automatically contributed by AKBH & 10% match after 3 years of employment with AKBH. PTO is accrued at the rate of five (5) weeks of PTO for the first year; eight (8) weeks of PTO after the first year. PTO is used for company recognized holidays.

What We Need from You

  • Clinical Associate I - $20.00 - $26.25
  • You have a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with a 5-year clean driving record
  • Clinical Associate II - $21.50 - $27.50
  • High School Diploma or GED with an associate’s degree preferred
  • Two years of case management experience or relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a 5-year clean driving record

Clinical Associate III - $23.50 - $30.00

Bachelor’s degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, etc.

Five years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.

Valid driver’s license with a 5-year clean driving record
