Provide medical support to pediatric patients, including assessing needs, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs. Collaborate with physicians and support families in managing their child's illness or injury.
Assessing a child's needs and providing initial care Identifying changes in children's symptoms and intervening in emergency situations Participating in pain management for children Administer medications, draw blood, and give childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines Monitor temperature, pulse, breathing, and blood pressure and keep accurate records Evaluate children for signs and symptoms of abuse Provide supportive care to dying children Deal with the anxieties and demands of parents and help families deal with their child’s illness or injury Remain up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment and treatment procedures What We're Looking For Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. Must possess licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey AHA accredited BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Previous Pediatric experience preferred. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Full-time, Night shift 7pm to 7:30am. Rotational weekends Saturday and Sunday
