Job
Our Emergency Room Techs are responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies, and equipment dispensed by the emergency department following established Infection Control Practices. Assists with basic patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the registered nurse. The ED Tech maintains environment that is prepared for patient care. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures, and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties. Participate in the department’s performance improvement activities related to the Emergency Department.

Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600. Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization, including BSN, MSN and other Healthcare degrees. Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given Hours: 19:00 p.m. – 07:30 p.m.
Requires BLS certification, knowledge of medical terminology, and basic computer skills. EMT certification and at least one year of experience in an acute hospital or ambulance setting are preferred.
