We're looking for a PRN Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team! The PMHNP position is primarily responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication consultation and collaboration with care team as needed. The position will provide pharmacological treatment, if indicated, and request and review any needed lab work. PMHNP collaborates with team members, care givers, external medical providers to oversee and promote the health and safety of clients throughout the treatment process. Relationships and Contacts Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with staff, clients, families, facility, and peers throughout the organization. Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed. PMHNP Essential Responsibilities Conducts all Psychiatric Evaluations and ensures medical necessity for all individuals enrolled in the PHP. Provides medication management services for individuals enrolled in PHP as needed. Available on-site at least weekly and by telephone in unusual or urgent situations related to medication. Provides consultation, education and related information to patients and the families, if involved, to increase success of treatment and program engagement. Directs and collaborates with staff on clinical activities and interventions. Completes medical record and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner as needed to meet clinical, payer and other requirements. Perform other activities as requested by the Director and assume other appropriate medical responsibilities as necessary. QualificationsExperience: Experience with mental health PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital experience desired. Superior communication skills working with patients, family members, community stakeholders and staff. Experience with co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders a plus. Performs duties independently, responsibly and with a high level of integrity.
Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado with full prescriptive authority. Possesses working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment and related treatment interventions. Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment approaches to meet each client's needs. Must be able to conceptualize and implement master treatment plan with fully developed problems, objectives and goals and monitor other clinicians to do the same. Three plus years of psychological experience. Other Requirements Valid driver’s license, and acceptable three-year driving record. Active and clear DEA License. Background check clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
