About the role

Implement patient plans of care and goals through hands-on assessment and treatment for both adult and pediatric patients. Collaborate with physical and speech therapy staff to coordinate treatment and document patient progress.

GO Physical Therapy has an immediate full time opportunity in our outpatient location for Hastings - Balance Mobility and Children's Rehab and our Grand Island Children's Rehab Clinic for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This full time opportunity will have scheduled days at each location and will provide quality patient care and work with our collaborative and supportive staff. Each location has collaboration between Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy offering mentorship, and fulfilling work. This role with work with all types of patients from adults to pediatrics.

Responsibilities: and Duties:

Assure the quality of patient care and treatment programs by providing hands on assessment, treatment, and direction to subordinate staff on matters of treatment.

Implement patient plan of care and goals using appropriate COTA skills.

Actively listen to patient and family concerns when modifying treatment plans.

Be able to provide patient care during scheduled hours as assigned by a supervisor.

Educate and motivate patients and families to learn and improve functional activities.

Assure the quality of overall perceived patient care.

Document progress, home programs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.

Clean and prepare equipment for therapy session.

Assist patients keep track of counting exercises.

Straighten and clean rooms.

Perform administrative duties.

Measure and track range of motion.

Record data progress during therapy session.

Confer with other staff members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment plans.

Maintain patient and family confidentiality at all times.

Participate in continuing education activities and obtain required contact hours.

All job duties considered essential to job performance.

Additional job duties as assigned.

Adherence to GO Physical Therapy Policies

Demonstrate positive rapport with staff members, developing positive employee relations.

Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.

Take direction and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Follow GO Physical Therapy policies and procedures, including safety processes.

Job Requirements

Must be licensed as a Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of Nebraska.

Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of the job.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting.
