About the role

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist Generalist performs diagnostic procedures within their assigned area. They are also responsible for maintaining a positive professional relationship between the laboratory staff and other hospital departments.

UF Health Central Florida provides inpatient acute hospital services at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital and UF Health Leesburg Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation services at UF Health Rehab Hospital – The Villages and diagnostic laboratory services at several locations.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist Generalist is responsible for performance of diagnostic procedures in the area for which they are assigned. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled in areas that they are licensed. This individual helps maintain an excellent rapport between Laboratory staff and other hospital departments. Schedule FTE: .50 Hours: Nights, 12 hour shifts twice per week Days: Variable

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license and an Associate's degree, though a Bachelor's is preferred. Proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding is required.
