Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary assistant preferred.
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of basic veterinary procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
  • Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Prepare exam rooms, surgical suites, equipment, and supplies.
  • Collect laboratory samples and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian and within the scope of Ohio regulations.
  • Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment.
  • Collaborate with the entire team to provide an exceptional experience for patients and clients.
