Department: Central Sterile Processing Work Hours:
Decontaminates and reprocesses all in-house prepared sterile supplies. Issues, tracks, decontaminates, maintains, transports various types of patient care equipment, to provide Quality Patient Care.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
*CSP Techs employed as central service technicians prior to the effective date of Act 80 (12/28/2020) are exempt from certification requirements.
Central Sterile Processing experience.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a nationally accredited central service certification. New hires must pass the certification exam within 18 months of employment and complete annual continuing education.
