  • Newark, DE 19702Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Palliative Medical Assistant. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 8am-430pm. The Palliative Medical Assistant will provide clinical/administrative support and coordination assistance, to the Palliative Care team. Assist in chart preparation, document compliance, and ensure day to day operations are running efficiently. Assess additional needs as directed by Palliative Care providers and Practice Manager. Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification High School Diploma or equivalent required 2 Years Experience working as a Medical Assistant in Ambulatory or Home Visit setting preferred Must be knowledgeable in MS Office and our EMR. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent interpersonal communication skills Must be able to triage and prioritize patient needs, multi-task and be self-directed. Must be proficient in Medical Terminology Coordinate schedules for team members and communicate to Referral Center

Requirements

Requires a current Medical Assistant certification and a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference is given to candidates with 2 years of experience in ambulatory or home visit settings.
