Role Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) at Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing care within the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) and outpatient services in Ithaca, NY.

This role focuses on supporting individuals impacted by Opioid Use Disorder through compassionate, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental care, while ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and safety standards.

Roles and Responsibilities Provide direct professional nursing care to clients within scope of practice in the OTP clinic and, as needed, on the Mobile Medication Unit Complete nursing assessments including vital signs, risk assessments, and withdrawal assessments in accordance with OASAS regulations and timelines Administer medications and implement nursing interventions in accordance with facility policies and provider orders Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in electronic and paper medical records Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary treatment team members regarding client medical needs and care coordination Required Skills and Experience Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent combination of education and experience in behavioral health License: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or outpatient clinical settings Minimum 1 year experience providing direct patient care, nursing assessments, and clinical documentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to multitask, perform crisis intervention, maintain professional treatment boundaries, and communicate effectively with diverse populations Preferred Skills and Experience Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred Physical Requirements This role requires repetitive use of hands and fingers, frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, and the ability to stoop, kneel, and reach.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, including medical supplies and medication inventory.

The employee must be physically capable of operating standard clinical equipment and performing essential job functions in a healthcare and treatment environment.

Location, Travel and Shift Requirements Onsite: Onsite at CARS Ithaca Outpatient Clinic: 334 West State Street, Ithaca, NY 14850 Shift: M-F 7:00-15:50 (with 30 min lunch); some Saturdays 7:30-12:30; Federal Holidays off Travel: 25% local travel to other CARS outpatient clinic when coverage is needed: Cortland Outpatient Clinic- 6 Euclid Ave, Building 1, Suite 3, Cortland, NY 13045 Pay Range Disclosure Standard rate of $39.90 - $47.50 per hour plus benefits Centralus Health and its affiliates are committed to treating all patients, staff, providers, and volunteers with dignity and respect, ensuring safe, equitable, and inclusive care environments.

Requirements

Requires an active New York State RN license and at least one year of experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment. An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
