About the role

  • Schedule: Evening Shift | Full-time How you'll make an impact in this role Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards. Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions. Manage patient's pain. Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology.   • Registration: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

  • Graduate of a Registered Nursing program required.

  • Experience: One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse is required. Previous experience in a critical care or PACU setting is preferred. What additional requirements you'll need

Requirements

Requires a Registered Nurse license in Florida and graduation from an RN program with at least one year of staff nursing experience. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with previous critical care or PACU experience preferred.
