The Junior Embryologist manages daily IVF laboratory activities, including quality control, media preparation, and the handling of oocytes and embryos. Key tasks include performing ICSI, conventional fertilization, and managing specimen storage and data entry.

CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. Our Junior Embryologist will be responsible for daily activities in the IVF laboratory, including QA/QC.

1. Daily quality control, media preparation and dish preparation
2. Microscope and pipettor use
balance, pH meter, CO2 monitor, labeler, etc.
4. Oocyte retrieval and denuding of oocytes
5. Embryo and oocyte thawing/embryo and oocyte freezing
6. Fertilization checks and embryo transfers
7. ICSI and conventional fertilization techniques
8. Understand and be able to use eIVF for data entry
9. Schedule procedures, complete tasks, and navigate patient charts
10. Understand cryopreservation and storage of specimens
11. Beginning patient communication and patient identification
12. Assist in cleaning and stocking the laboratory
13. This position may also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, consistent with the role and operations needs of the organization

Bachelors degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, medical or reproductive laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
