Responsible for the daily assessment, management, and documentation of critically ill medical and surgical patients. This includes managing hemodynamically unstable patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to implement evidence-based practices.

Work schedule – 13-hour shifts (6a-7p, 11a-12a, or 6p-7a; days, swing, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Service provides 24/7 coverage with a shift-based model.

Graduation from an accredited ACNP or PA program.
Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body is required.
Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs is required.
Post graduate ICU fellowship or experience in an ICU setting as a PA or NP preferred. Applicants with significant and recent ICU experience as an RN will be considered.
Interpersonal skills and critical thinking must be demonstrated.
North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS and ACLS required.
