The physical therapist is responsible for examining, evaluating, and developing treatment plans for patients with functional limitations and disabilities. They also provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding the patient's continuum of care.
In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves.
The physical therapist is responsible for examining, evaluating and developing a treatment plan for patients with functional limitations and disabilities. PT’s provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding a patient’s continuum of care. The individual in this position is required to appropriately interact with all patients regardless of age or culture and to adhere to the Corewell Health customer service standards.
Standard Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required. Masters or Doctorate Degree preferred.
Michigan State License in Physical Therapy required.
BLS certification required.
