Overview Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) participates in the development, maintenance, or modification of nursing plan of care. Provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel.
What you will do
Medications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders.
Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
Develops, implements and evaluates resident care plans. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process. Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes. Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
