Job Summary Provide professional nursing care using the full nursing process in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting. You’ll triage, assess, treat, and educate patients while coordinating seamlessly with physicians, EMS, and hospital departments to ensure timely, safe care. Key Responsibilities Triage and rapidly assess patients; identify and respond to life-threatening conditions. Deliver age-appropriate emergency care (cardiac, trauma, medical/surgical, pediatric). Administer medications and therapies per protocols; monitor and document patient responses. Coordinate patient care with ED physicians, hospitalists, specialists, and ancillary departments. Support and precept EMT, paramedic, and nursing students within approved guidelines. Uphold infection prevention standards and ED safety practices. Participate in quality improvement, required in-services, and ED staff meetings. Communicate with patients and families in a kind, clear, and culturally sensitive manner.
