The Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous observation of the telemetry unit and the accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms. They must evaluate rhythm strips and communicate any critical changes to the nursing staff.
The Monitor Technician will be responsible continuous observation of telemetry unit, accurate assessment and interpretation of cardiac rhythms and/or arrhythmia's, complete evaluation and mounting of rhythm strips and communication of any rhythm change information to nursing staff.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Fundamental knowledge of arrhythmia interpretation and monitoring function is preferred.
