The Medical Laboratory Technician provides professional clinical laboratory science services, including testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance. They ensure the attainment of departmental goals while promoting a team concept and adhering to the organization's mission.
The Medical Laboratory Technician implements the clinic's mission, goals and objectives by exemplifying the short- and long-term vision, values, and goals of the department by providing professional clinical laboratory science services including the performance of clinical laboratory testing, proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management and other functions toward the attainment of these goals. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related biological/chemical science. A national certification from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or a US Government laboratory tech certification is required upon hire.
