About the role

The RN will provide clinical support for vascular surgeons and APPs, focusing heavily on phone triage and MyChart messaging. Additional duties include performing wound care, in-office procedures, and patient education within a dynamic clinic setting.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, day shift. No weekends, no holidays. You will work onsite primarily at Eastpark Medical Center with travel required to the other vascular surgery locations for cross coverage. All clinics are located in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to

Work collaboratively as an active member of an interprofessional team in a dynamic clinic setting that supports a rotation of vascular surgeons and advanced practice providers (APPs) in the care of a full range of vascular diagnoses and acuities.

Primarily perform advanced phone triage, MyChart messaging management/triage and provide day to day support for vascular surgeons and APPs. Work may also include utilizing nursing skills such as some wound care, some in-office procedures, patient education, and supporting the sub-specialties of Vein Clinic as needed. 80% of the clinic responsibilities include computer work. This position is onsite.

Bring your complex circulatory and wound knowledge and expertise! Three (3) or more years of vascular, vein, wound and/or diabetes experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Work Experience
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred
  • Licenses & Certifications
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of a nursing school with at least 6 months of RN experience and current CPR/BLS certification. A BSN and three or more years of experience in vascular, vein, wound, or diabetes care are strongly preferred.
