Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures with hospitals, surgery centers, and surgical teams Obtain prior authorizations and insurance pre-certifications for surgical cases Serve as the primary point of contact for patients throughout the surgical scheduling process Communicate with surgeons, OR staff, and facility personnel to confirm case details and logistics Prepare and distribute surgical preference cards, operative reports, and pre-op instructions Verify patient insurance benefits and coordinate financial clearance prior to procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR system Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and orthopedic/spine surgical protocols
