About the role

Provide clinical care under physician direction, including documenting vitals, preparing patients for gynecological procedures, and managing specimens. Handle administrative tasks such as phone triage, prior authorizations, and in-basket management.

Hourly Pay Range

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Thursday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm,
  • Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and 1
  • Saturday a month 7:30am – 12:30pm.

  • Travel: Yes- This position will travel to our Chicago Lakeview office or other locations for vacation, vacancies and/or medical leave coverage. This position will also be trained to cross cover Urogynecology.

What you will do

  • Provide clinical care under the direction of the office Physicians and Practice Manager
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications, reason for office visit and take medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures like Colposcopy, LEEPS, Hysteroscopy
  • Collect/prepare specimens
  • Sterilize and High-Level Disinfection instruments and scopes
  • Phone triage, test results, prior authorizations and in-basket management
  • Back-up coverage for Patient Support Associates
  • Perform other functions as delegated

What you will need

Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required

Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.

Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a Women’s Health medical office (or related field) is preferred.
